In 2007, a team of consultants, working in the Energy Conservation, created the Renewable Energy Division of L&S INVESTORS LTD and moved the headquarters of the respective European countries in Lugano, Switzerland.

The technical installation of the system is implemented by three employees of AZIENDA DEL SOLE, which now boasts a thirty plant built and put online for a total of about 90 KWP.

THE BIRTH OF THE USE OF SOLAR ENERGY occurred in Liguria. Engineer Giovanni Francia, born in Genova, built the first plant in the world with system linear concentration Fresnel, designed and installed in 1965 at Saint Ilario train station, near Genova. He showed the way of producing up to 21 kg/h 500ºc of steam with 100atm of pressure, with a sunshine of 900 w/m2.

Francia, first in the world, introduced genial and revolutionary inventions in solar thermal plants in a linear concentration and concentration with timely or central receiver. This inventions were related to both, general architecture of these plants and relevant components, from the kinematics of the mirrors for tracking the sun to the anti-radiant cells and the honeycomb cells for the construction of receivers and boilers. These details are of great importance and deserve special consideration.
It should be pointed out that Francia is recalled mainly for having been the inspirator for Eurelios, the first great concentration solar plant in the world, with a central Fresnel receiver or with a tower. Built and connected to the electricity network of 1 MW in 1980, it is located in Adrano in the province of Catania.
